CC-98 at a glance
The CC-98 is a 51 W dual-port car charger built around a zinc alloy unibody. The USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery 30 W and PPS 33 W for Samsung Super Fast Charging; the USB-A port delivers Quick Charge 3.0 up to 18 W. Both ports run at full speed at the same time, so a phone and a tablet or a passenger’s phone can charge together without throttling. Integrated into the metal body are two emergency tools: a concealed stainless steel seatbelt cutter on the side and a tungsten steel window breaker tip at the bottom. Two ports, two fast-charging standards
The USB-C port is a USB PD 3.0 port with PPS support. It negotiates 5 V/3 A, 9 V/3 A and 12 V/2.5 A on PD, and up to 33 W on PPS for Samsung Galaxy S24 / S23 / S22 Super Fast Charging 2.0. The USB-A port is QC 3.0 with the standard 3.6-6.5 V/3 A, 9 V/2 A, 12 V/1.5 A range. With both cables in, the smart IC splits power so both devices keep their negotiated fast-charge profile. Two emergency tools built into the body
The side of the head carries a fold-out seatbelt cutter. Pull the small tab, the blade swings out and slices through a jammed belt in one motion. The bottom of the unit is a tungsten steel point that will shatter a side window if the car ends up submerged or rolled. Both tools are positioned so they can be reached from the driver’s seat without taking your eyes off the road. Does the window breaker work on laminated windshields?
No. Tungsten steel window breakers are designed for tempered side and rear glass. Laminated windshields (front, most modern cars) will not shatter from a single point impact. For emergency exit, aim at a side window, never the windshield.
