The SUNDA smart tag is a 31.75 mm mini Bluetooth tracker that hangs on a key ring and answers one question: where did I leave it. Where does the tag get its position from?

From the phones around it. The tag broadcasts over Bluetooth; a nearby iPhone reports it into the Apple Find My network, and an Android phone reports it into Find Hub. There is no GPS chip and no SIM card inside, which is why there is nothing to subscribe to.

Can one tag work on both an iPhone and an Android phone?

The tag pairs with one system at a time, and the system is chosen during setup. A household with both can therefore use the tag on either, but the account it reports to has to be switched deliberately.

How far away does the tag work?

Bluetooth pairing and the ring-my-tag function work up to about 10 m, which is the point of the buzzer. Beyond that the tag relies on other people’s phones passing nearby, so its usefulness grows with how busy the area is.

How long does the battery last and can it be changed?

One CR2032 runs the tag for more than twelve months at normal use, and the battery door opens by hand so the cell can be replaced rather than the whole tag thrown away.
