Neither network needs a SIM card and neither carries a monthly fee. The tag emits a rotating Bluetooth identifier; any phone passing within range of the network relays an anonymous, encrypted position back to the owner. That is why a tracker built for the wrong network is a dead product on arrival — and why the network choice comes before the housing choice.
Apple Find My accessories are covered by the MFi licensing programme and Google Find My Device has its own partner path. Which certification applies depends on the model you are quoting; ask for the certificate reference with your quotation rather than assuming it.

Frequently asked questions
Will this work with Android phones?
No. The Apple Find My network is reached through Apple devices, so an Android user cannot register this tag. If your market is mixed, quote the dual system tag instead — it registers on both networks.
Do I need my own app?
No. The tag is registered and located through the Apple Find My app that is already on the customer’s iPhone, which is the main reason this category sells: nothing new to install.
How many tags can one person register?
Several. Each tag is paired separately and then named in the app, so keys, a wallet and a suitcase each appear as their own entry. That is what makes the multi-packs sell rather than sit.
Is the battery replaceable?
On most models yes — a standard button cell the user swaps themselves. Rechargeable versions exist on selected form factors. Confirm which battery the model you are quoting carries.
Can the tag be used on a pet collar?
It can be clipped to a collar with the collar holder accessory, but the pet and luggage page shows the versions built for that job, including the washable and comfortable-collar listings.
